Las Vegas, July 2025 – The Panettone World Cup is proud to announce that the official selection for the American continent will take place this year in Las Vegas, during the prestigious IBIE – International Baking Industry Exposition, one of the world’s leading events for the baking and pastry industry. For the first time ever, the American selection will be open to pastry professionals from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and various South American countries, with the exception of Brazil and Peru, which maintain their own national selections.
The top pastry chefs selected in Las Vegas will earn the honor of representing their country in the Panettone World Cup Grand Final, to be held in Milan in 2026. This initiative marks an important milestone in the international expansion of the competition and in promoting the artisanal panettone as a symbol of Italian pastry excellence worldwide. The presence at IBIE also strengthens the connection between international pastry arts and the evolving trends and innovations in the baking sector.
THE PANETTONE WORLD CUP
The Panettone World Cup is the largest international event entirely dedicated to leavened products par excellence. It was created to celebrate the history and workmanship of a product capable of crossing the borders of origin to establish itself on the world confectionery scene. Patron of the event is Maestro Giuseppe Piffaretti; the first edition took place in Lugano in November 2019; the second in November 2021, the third in Milan in November 2022, the fourth edition in Milan in November 2024. In addition to the competition, the event promotes demonstrations, tastings, visits to exhibitors, workshops, workshops to celebrate the history and processing of a product that has managed to cross borders of origin and seasonality to establish itself on the global confectionery scene.
